Welcome Message from Dr. Walthall

Welcome Parents, Guardians, and Students,

We are really looking forward to working with you all this upcoming year. I understand that things will be different, but we are confident that together we will make the Vick school community a safe and productive learning environment for every child. So expect to hear from your child's teacher the week of August 11. Information such as resources and orientation scheduling will be shared with you. Also, please check the Vick website for updates.

Know that we are here to assist you in any way that we can with any questions you may have. In the meantime, stay safe.

Dr. Walthall, Principal
Vick Elementary School

Hurricane Dorian Heroes

We are SO GRATEFUL to Wilson County Emergency Management, law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics, city and county crews, NCDOT, the Red Cross, our WCS Maintenance Department, news outlets and countless others who serve us selflessly during emergencies and inclement weather! Shout Out! to Superintendent Dr. Mills who always errs on the side of caution and seeks advisement from weather experts to keep us safe during inclement weather. He is responsible for the safety and the education of more than 11,000 students and 2,000 staff members - so he does not take the decision to close schools lightly.
