It is my honor and privilege to serve as the proud principal of Vick Elementary School, where we are in the midst of an incredible transformation story. Over the past four years, the dedicated teachers, staff, and I have worked tirelessly to create a school environment where every student is valued, challenged, and supported to reach their highest potential.

I am passionate about "instructing students as they are from where they are"—meeting each child exactly where they are in their learning journey and growing them from there.

My mission is clear: to ensure that Vick Elementary is no longer identified as a low-performing school.

I believe deeply in the power of authentic relationships and collaborative partnerships. Together, we are not just changing test scores—we are transforming lives, building confidence, and creating opportunities for every child who walks through our doors.

I am committed to a whole child approach that develops students academically, socially, and emotionally. My leadership centers on building authentic relationships as the foundation for growth, using evidence-based practices driven by comprehensive data, and fostering distributive leadership that empowers teachers and staff to drive meaningful change.

At the heart of my philosophy is equity—confronting institutional biases and ensuring every student thrives regardless of their background. I envision Vick Elementary as a transformed learning community where "My Crew"—our dedicated staff—and I continue building on our remarkable 22-point improvement in school performance. This will be a place where every child experiences the joy of learning and discovers their unique potential, regardless of the challenges they may face.

My vision is for Vick to be recognized not for what we once were, but for what we've become—a school where innovation meets tradition, where our diverse community is our greatest strength, and where we prepare students to be confident, caring leaders in their own lives and communities.
